We offer cranes both Self Erecting and City Tower Cranes for Hire throughout the UK and Ireland as well as the Sale of machines worldwide, EXPORT ENQUIRIES WELCOME.

Mantis Cranes manufacture self-erecting cranes in their factory located in Co. Donegal, Ireland. As well as manufacturing cranes our R & D Department has been working recently on developing a new concept self erecting crane which can be erected in approx 30 minutes from it is delivered to the construction site, called the "Mantis TC 25". This Crane does not require a low loader trailer to deliver it to the site nor does it require any assistance from other machines such as telescopic forklifts to tow it into position or load ballast weights. If a Self Erecting Crane or Tower Crane is not suitable for your project we can offer Mini Crawler Cranes which are often desribed as a crane that is small enough to fit inside the building but large enough to do the job.

To complement our cranes we offer Crane Attachments such as Concrete Skips, Column Skips, Banana Skips, Boat skips, Self Tipping Boat Skips, Rubbish Skips, Block Grabs, Fork Toes, Man Baskets from suppliers such as Conquip, Eichinger, Boscaro, Mc Quaid etc.

Over the past few years we have also exported cranes to the USA, Bahamas and other islands such as Malta of the coast of Italy, Isle of Wight of the south coast of England and also Orkney Island of Scotland in addition to extensive sales within the Irish & UK markets and are always seeking export partners in various parts of the globe thus if your interested in our products please do not hesitate to contact ourselves.

Self Erecting Cranes are also known as Pedestrian Operated Tower Cranes and Mini Tower Cranes.

Self Erecting Cranes have been in use throughout Europe probably since the 1970,s however Self Erecting Crane have only become popular on sites in Ireland & UK in the past 10 years. Mantis Cranes Ireland Ltd. were the first to introduce these Self Erecting Cranes which are also known as Pedestrian Operated Tower Cranes or Mini Tower Cranes into the Irish market in 1998. Prior to this there would have only been 4 -5 Remote Control Self Erecting Cranes in Ireland which would all have been very old machines which were difficult to erect or dismantle thus this is likley why Pedestrian Operated Tower Cranes never became popular on sites throughout Ireland & UK.

We commenced the manufacturing of Remote Control Tower Cranes in Ireland in late 1998. Most Pesdestrian Operted Tower Cranes are delivered to sites on Low Loader Trailers and are the towed into position using a Telehadler or Telescopic Forklift. A second truck usually delivers the concrete ballast weights for the Mini Tower Crane. Once the Self Erecting Crane has been towed into position by the Telehandler and levelled, the Self Erecting Crane can be erected within a few hours. Mini Tower Cranes are usually only erected on sites where they are needed for 3-4 months thus when compared to the cost of hiring a Mobile Crane for this period of time there is huge cost savings to be made by the customer.

Self Erecting Cranes can operate from confined spaces and can even be erected on pathways outside sites if there is not enough space on site for them and on occassions we have also erected the Pedestrian Operated Tower Cranes on 1st & 2nd Floor Slabs provided adequate underpropping has been put in place.

During 2007 we launched a Self Erecting Crane which is economical for using on sites which only require a crane for as little as one day. This crane is called a Mantis TC 25 and unlike the traditional Pesdestrian Operated Tower Crane there is no Low Loader or Telescopic Forklift required to tow it into position or load ballast weights as this crane is delivered to the site as a self contained unit which can be operational within 30 minutes from delivery to site. This Self Erecting Crane can also carry its own Generator on board which is another benefit to this unique Mini Tower Crane.
